New Game iProdigy Turns Music Discovery into a Fun Competition with Cash Prizes
A new game is changing how music lovers find their next favorite song—and giving indie artists a real shot at getting discovered.
iProdigy, now live at iProdigy.xyz, invites players to test their ears and musical instincts for just $2 per game. The premise is simple … listen to tracks by undiscovered indie artists, answer questions about the music, and climb the leaderboard. Each week, the fastest and most accurate players win cash prizes—and the more people play, the bigger the prize pool.
Unlike major platforms like Spotify or Apple, which rely heavily on algorithm-driven playlists, iProdigy puts independent talent front and center. These are the musicians who typically get zero traction on streaming giants and radio —but who possess enough raw talent and creativity to rival mainstream artists.
“Artists used to be discovered in small clubs by labels who gave them their big break. Those days are over. So we created a game to do what DSPs like Spotify should be doing: getting exceptional talent in front of fans,” says Eric Todd, founder of iProdigy. “Most of us just hit play on whatever the algorithm feeds us. But discovery should be active, engaging, and rewarding.”
Helping kick off the game’s debut week are two standout local NJ artists—The Break Plans and Indigo Sky—who’ve each chosen one of their favorite songs to feature. The Break Plans bring their infectious alt-pop energy with “Not What I Want,” and Indigo Sky adds their signature blend of atmospheric rock and heartfelt lyricism with “Don’t You Love Her.” Make sure to give these songs a listen and add to your own playlists!
With iProdigy, discovery becomes a game, a mission, and a movement—helping fans uncover new favorite songs and helping deserving artists finally be heard.
